NEW YORK: The reception which was scheduled to be accorded to Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid has been cancelled due to confrontation of US Awami League.
A competent source of president office confirmed the matter to banglanews.
The president would not go to any controversial programme, source added.
When contacted, US Awami League president Dr Siddiqur Rahman said the programme has been cancelled as President Abdul Hamid would not come.
