DINAJPUR: Two Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members were injured as “fake” dollar traders attacked them at Satkhamar village under Birganj upazila of Dinajpur district on Thursday afternoon.    

The injured are Dinajpur RAB-13 camp sub-inspector Dulal Chandra and Constable Khairul Islam.

They were admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

Local source said a team of Dinajpur RAB-13 conducted a drive at dollar businessman Karimul Islam’s house at 3:30pm. 

On information, around 40 fake dollar businessmen attacked the Rab personnel, leaving two of them injured.

Attackers also snatched a pistol from the Rab men during the attack.

Later, police recovered the Rab men with the help of local chairman.

RAB-13 camp major Khalid Ibne Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
