DHAKA: Miscreants snatched Tk 33 lakh after they chopped two people in No-1 Badalpur Lane area at Hazaribagh in the capital on Thursday afternoon.

The victims are Tanim and Jony.

Officer-in-Charge of Hajaribagh Thana Maynul Islam said some 5-6 miscreants attacked Tamim and Jony when they were returning after withdrawing the money from BRAC Bank near Nawabpur Police Outpost.

The mugger took the money chopping them indiscriminately, leaving the duo critically injured.

Later, locals rushed them to a local clinic.
