DHAKA: Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and also her Advisor on IT Affairs, arrived in Dhaka with his family on Friday morning.

Sources said Joy alongside his wife Christine Overmeyer and daughter Sophia landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a Qatar Airways flight around 5:30am.

There was also a nephew of Christine, with them, sources added.

Confirming the matter, deputy press secretary of Prime Minister, Ashraful Alam Khokan told banglanews that Joy will stay in the country for a month.

He added, “Joy is here to visit his motherland as there’s a vacation going on in Sophia’s school.”

During his stay in the country, Joy will attend several IT related programs and some socio-cultural festivals.
