TANGAIL: The rail communication of North Bengal with Dhaka and other parts of the country was halted as rail track misplaced due to heavy rain in Kalihati Upazila on Saturday noon.
Sources said that torrential rain misplaced rail lines near Analia Bridge No. 9 in the upazila at 11:45am.
Later, the rail service declared halted to avoid accidents.
Bangabandhu Bridge East Thana Officer-in-Charge Akheruzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
