DHAKA: The government on Sunday extended the contracts of Bangladesh Tariff Commission Chairman Dr Mojibur Rahman for two years, a notification by the Establishment Ministry said.

The government also made some changes in a number of positions in the civil bureaucracy.

Deputy secretaries of Health and Family Welfare Ministry Md. Dabirul Islam and Dr. Shahida Akter were transferred to the Industries Ministry and the Foreign Ministry.

Deputy Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Ministry Md. Jabed Ali was made OSD (Officer on Special Duty) while Mohsina Yasmin, an OSD, was posted as Deputy Secretary to the Home Ministry.

Director of Family Welfare Department Rehana Begum was transferred to the Industries Ministry while Deputy Secretary of Education Ministry Ranjit Kumar Sen was posted to the Health and Family Welfare Ministry.

Deputy Director of Relief and Rehabilitation Department AUSM Saifullah was transferred to the Health and Family Welfare Ministry as Deputy Secretary while Deputy Secretary of Education Ministry AK Mofizul Haq was posted to the Home Ministry.
