RAJUK allocates plots for 336 MPs

FROM PARLIAMENT: Housing and public works minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain on Thursday said Rajdhani Unnayan Kartipakkha (RAJUK) had allocated plots for 336 Members of Parliament.

According to the minister, a total of 336 MPs had got plots in last 22 years from 1991.

Among them Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JCD) leader Moinuddin Khan Badal and state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) were allocated for two separate projects, the minister told the House.

In replying to a query of Israfil Alam MP of Naogaon-6, the minister made the disclosure.

According to the information given by the minister, on 2006 RAJUK allocated plots for 56 MPs in Uttara Third Part Project.

The city development authorities also allocated 20-bigha plots for a MP and a technocrat minister in Banani residential area.

On 2009, 50 MPs were allocated plots in Purbachal New City Project, 81 MPs were allocated plots in Uttara Third Part Project and 42 MPs were allocated plots in Jhilmil Residential Project.

On 2013, RAJUK allocated plots for 21 MPs in Purbachal New City Project.

While answering another question of Md Nurul Islam MP of Panchagar-2, he said RAJUK played an important role to impede corruption.
