Bride-to-be abducted in Uttara, 1 died

DHAKA: Miscreants abducted a bride-to-be from city’s Uttara area on Thursday late night after killing a security guard.

The deceased was identified as Liton, 32.

Witness said that a gang of miscreants around 11:00pm abducted a 19-years-old girl from a house of Uttara sector-4 area.

At that time the miscreants shot at Liton, the security guard of that house, who went to protest them, leaving him critically injured, witness added.

Sources said that, later, Liton succumbed to his injuries at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Uttara Thana (East) Sub-Inspector Abdur Rahim confirmed the matter to banglanews.
