Abducted bride-to-be reused in Kafrul, 4 held

DHAKA:  Police on Friday rescued a bride-to-be in South Kafrul area of the city hours after miscreants abducted her from city’s Uttara area on Thursday late night after killing a security guard.

Police also detained four suspected kidnappers.

Uttra (east) Thana operation officer Nurul Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The detainees are Rumoon, the kidnaper, his father and brother and one of his aides, said police sources.

Earlier, a gang of miscreants around 11:00pm on Thursday abducted Fatema Akhter, 19, from a house of Uttara sector-4 area.

At that time, miscreants shot at Liton, a security guard of the house, and chopped off Fatema’s fiancé with machete as they tried to prevent the abduction.

Liton succumbed to his injuries at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
