DHAKA: Incumbent Awami League lawmaker Suranjit Sen Gupta, also Advisory Council member of the party, Friday urged the government to amend Money Laundering Prevention Act.
He came up with the urge in a discussion meeting at the auditorium of Institution of Diploma Engineers in city at noon.
Suranjit also asked to invest whoever has got money.
Senior AL leader also said, “We use to think that investment is a hard task. But this investment is beneficial to both the investor and country.”
“I would ask the government to be more cautious to prevent money laundering. We should amend the Money Laundering Prevention Act, if it is necessary,” he added.
He also asked the premier to strengthen the party using reliable people.
Former minister also asked BNP to be patient.
With Humayun Kabir in the chair, senior AL leader Mojaffor Hossain Paltu also addressed the programme.
