TANGAIL: A mother along with her daughter was electrocuted at Charbashi village under Elenga municipal area of Kalihati upazila of the district on Friday night.
The deceased were identified as Samala Begum, 80, wife of Sayeed Ali, residing in that village and her daughter Vasani AKhter, 45.
Locals said the victims came in contact with a live electric wire lying beside the road while returning home last night.
They might die on the spot there, sources added. Later, locals found the bodies of Samala and her daughter on Saturday morning.
Kalihati Thana Officer-in-Charge Monir Hossain said that police recovered the deceased’s bodies around 12:00pm.
