Dhaka: An old woman was killed in a road accident in the city’s Nolgola area under Kotwali thana Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Kafirun Nesa, 65.

Operation Officer of Kotwali thana Gazi Ataur Rahman told banglanews24.com.bd that Kafirun was crushed under the wheels of a truck in Balughat area near Mitford Hospital at about 10.30am while crossing the road.

Local people caught the driver with the truck and handed him over to police.

Police recovered the body and sent to Mitford Hospital for autopsy.
