Advance launch ticket from Jul 17

DHAKA: The advance sale of launch ticket will be started from July 17 to ease the journey of homebound passengers ahead of Eid-ul-fitr.

Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan said that special measures will be taken to ensure the safe journey of home bound people during Eid.

Besides, executive magistrate will be deployed in Launch ghats to check the overloading of passengers in launches.

The shipping minister also said that no entrance fee will be needed in Kawrakandi, Paturia and Daulatia launch ghats.
