DHAKA: Nur Hossain, the main accused of the Narayanganj seven-murder case, on Monday denied his involvement in the case.
He made the assertion when police produced him before an Indian court in Barasat of West Bengal in the noon, local media reports.
He said before the court that he has no involvement with sensational Narayanjganj seven-murder.
Nur also told the court that he didn’t come to India by being forced by anyone.
Sources said Bidhannagar Police Commissioner will place its statement to prove Nur Hossain as illegal intruder.
According to the rules, charge sheet have to be submitted within 90-day after he was detained.
Besides, specific information has to be proved that he was Bangladesh otherwise there is a possibility that Nur Hossain would be released.
On June 23, a court in India’s West Bengal state placed Nur Hossain, the prime accused in the multiple murders at Narayanganj, and his two accomplices on a 14-day fresh remand.
On June 16, a day after, the three were arrested from Indraprastha Apartment in Baguiati near Kolkata's Netaji Subhas airport. Later, they were sent on an eight-day police remand.
The absconding Narayanganj councilor, prime accused in the multiple murders case, was booked under Arms Act and Foreigners Act for illegal trespass into Indian Territory without valid travel document and for illegal possession of a weapon.
