NARAIL: At least 15 people, including eight children, were injured as a gas cylinder blasted in the ‘Ulto Roth Jatra’ fair, a Hindu religious festival, in Lohagora upazila of the district on Monday.

Witnesses said they were injured when a gas cylinder, which was being used for filling out balloons, blasted in the fair at Lohagora Government College premises around 10:30pm.

The injured were rushed to the local clinics where critically injured Akash and Priash were sent to the Khulna Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Lohagora Thana Subhash Biswas confirmed the matter to banglanews.
