BARISAL: A two-year-old baby girl drowned in a canal at Dumuria village of Gaurnadi upazila in the district on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Mariam.
Victim’s grandfather Habibur Rahman said Mariam came to visit his house with her mother. She went missing for several hours and later found floating at a nearby cannel.
Officer-in-Charge of Gaurnadi Thana confirmed the incident to banglanews.
