DHAKA: International Cricket Council (ICC) President AHM Mustafa Kamal, also Planning Minister of Bangladesh, said that he is agreed with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) about the decision of suspending Shakib Al Hasan for six months.
The decision is justified, he added.
He made the remarks while answering journalists at his planning ministry office on Tuesday noon.
ICC President said that BCB punished Shakib after considering all the facts so there is nothing to be worried.
Mentioning Shakib also met him Tuesday, Kamal told banglanews that Shakib should co-operate the board.
He said that the board will not accept any possibility of ruining any player’s life.
“Situation will decide what to do in a certain time,” he added.
With the hope of everything will be okay, AHM Mustafa Kamal urged every player should maintain disciplines in the team.
However, Shakib Al Hasan, one of the biggest stars of Bangladesh cricket, throughout his career, has had a series of disciplinary issues both on and off the field.
Latest reports said Shakib had left the country to play in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) without taking ‘No Objection Certificate from Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
It also said that Shakib threatened Coach Chandika Hathurusingha to quit play ODI’s and Tests on behalf of the country.
Shakib had also been prevented from playing in any overseas Twenty20 (T20) league till the end of 2015.
