DHAKA: The Government has decided to appoint Md Wahidur Rahman, currently serving as Bangladesh High Commissioner to Kenya, as the new Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

A career diplomat, Wahidur Rahman belongs to the 9th batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) Cadre and joined the Service in 1991. 

During his distinguished diplomatic career, Rahman served in Bangladesh Missions in Riyadh, Singapore, Jeddah and Bonn. 

Wahidur Rahman holds a post-graduate degree in Sociology.
