DHAKA: A worker was electrocuted at a canteen adjacent to BG Press area of Tejgaon in the city on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as M Shahid, 26, son of one Billal Mia, hailed from Madhupur village of Begumganj Thana in Noakhali district.

Victim’s co-worker Mahbubur Rahman told banglanews that Shahid was electrocuted while taking bath.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where on duty doctor declared him dead, he added.

In-Charge of DMCH police camp Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
