DHAKA: A student of Sylhet Cadet College died after falling from the roof of a five-storey building at Gandaria in the capital on Friday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Sazzad Anim, 17, a resident in Kazipara area.

Sazzad’s fellow said that he along with his friends went to the rooftop of the house at about 5:00 pm. Suddenly Sazzad fell down to ground from the staircase of roof. 

He was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the doctors declared him dead.

ASI Haider Ali of DMCH police outpost confirmed the matter to banglanews.
