DHAKA: Sazeeb Wazed Joy, son of Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina, also her IT adviser, on Friday said that people who are trying to spread out confusion on government’s victory over maritime boundary, lack the basic education.
Joy made the remarks at a seminar tilted “Democracy in the light of Liberation War and Future of Bangladesh” organized by Shuchinta Foundation (SF) at a city hotel in the afternoon.
Sazeeb Wazed said, “Those who are arguing on the victory over maritime boundary in television talk shows lack basic education; they did not understand the significance of the victory, it seems they don’t understand the math of class-I.”
“We talk about the spirit of Liberation War, but a quarter are still there in the country’s politics who do not even believe in independence and they wholeheartedly want to be a part of Pakistan,” added Joy.
With SF executive director Mohammad A Arafat in the chair, cultural personality Ali Zaker, educationist Dr AK Azad Chowdhury, economist Dr. Abul Barkat, journalist Golam Sarowar, and security analyst major general (retired) Abdur Rashid, among others, spoke at the function.
