DHAKA: Railway police seized 34 gold bars worth TK1.53 crore and detained two passengers from Kamalapur railway station on Wednesday morning.

Two detainees are M Suman, 35 and M Dilu 30. 

Dhaka GRP Thana officer-in-charge Abdul Majid said acting on tip-off, police detained the duo, who has come from Chittagong by Turna Nishita train, with gold bars around   8:45am.  

Arrestees are being quizzed in this matter, he added.
