DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina donated Taka one crore to the country’s physically challenged cricket team who recently returned home after winning a series against India.

The PM handed over the money on Wednesday during a visit of the players and team officials to PMO.

She also handed over Taka one lakh for each player.

Bangladesh Physically Challenged Cricket team defeated India’ Disabled Sporting Society by 2-1 matches in a series held in Agra.

The premier invited the winning team to her office to express her gratitude to them.

Paying her honoring to them, the PM said that you have proved that they are also precious.

She said it is a great achievement for Bangladesh. She also asked affluent people to extend their hands to the welfare of the physically challenged people.

She commented that if they get opportunity they will be able to bring more success for the nation.

She also reminded that physically challenged people have brought 21 gold medals from Special Olympics.
