DHAKA: A court on Thursday placed Sub-Inspector Jahid and his source Nasim Sheikh on 5-day remand over the murder of Mahbubur Rahman Sujan, a Jhut (garments waste) trader of Mirpur.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubur Rahman passed the order at noon in response to a 10-day remand plea of Detective Branch officer Nibaran Chandra.
Earlier, police arrested Jahid on Tuesday accused in Sujan Murder case. He was also withdrawn from Mirpur Thana.
