DHAKA: Popular poet of sixty decade Al Mujahidi has been admitted to hospital due to many old age complexities including diabetes and high blood pressure.

He was taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) from his Uttara residence.

Al Mujahidi was the president of Bangladesh Chhatra League. He participated in the Liberation War and around four decades he has worked as literature editor at daily Ittefaq.

He was awarded country’s prestigious ‘Ekushey Padak’ for literary works. He has written more than hundred books.

The elderly poet has sought blessings to all.
