DHAKA: Underscoring the need for more mechanization of the Agricultural sector, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged educated persons to be involved in agricultural sector as this the biggest economic arena of the country.
The premier came up with the urge while addressing senior officials of the Agriculture Ministry during her visit to the ministry on Sunday morning.
Mentioning that after completing study, the children of the farmers don’t want to engage in agricultural work, Sheikh Hasina told the officials: “So you will have to take initiative to remove this reluctance and convince them agricultural work is a better task.”
Hasina suggested to include agricultural lesson in the text books in such way that students get inspiration to make involve them in this sector.
She called upon all concerned to play more effective role in the development of marketing of agricultural products and ensuring their fair prices.
