KHAGRACHHARI: At least 35 houses were gutted in fire in a bazaar in Panchhari upazila of the district early Wednesday.

Sources said that the fire originated from a tea stall around 1:00am.

Abdus Salam, Officer-in-Charge of Panchhari Thana, confirming the matter to banglanews, said “one unit of Khagrachhari Fire Service unit rushed to the spot and douse the fire.”

The extent of losses from the fire was not assessed officially.
