JESSORE: Communications minister Obaidul Quader on Wednesday asked the authorities concerned to serve a show-cause notice to Khulna Roads and Highways additional chief engineer M Ali.

He passed the order around 11:30am for their ‘negligence’ of duty following delay of repairing roads in time.

Sources told banglanews that the communications minister made the order while visiting the Jessore-Khulna highway.

Issuing a note of warning against the delay, Obaidul Quader said those who to be found guilty will be punished.

The minister also asked executive engineers Ziaul Haider of Jessore, Saifuddin of Satkhira and Mehedi Khan of Kushtia to complete the repair work of Jessore-Khulna highway within three days.
