‘Traffic jam lessened’

DHAKA: Traffic congestion has been lessened comparative in past 10 days, commented communications minister Obaidul Quader.

Vacationers are going to their homes without facing any hazard on roads to enjoy the upcoming Eid festival with dear ones.

He said that traffic congestion is not seen this year if we compare it with the past year’s Eid vacation.

Traffic congestion will be lessened more in the coming days, the minister hoped.

The minister told media during a visit to Gulistan on Thursday noon.

He said that police administration have been working tirelessly to solve traffic jam.

I have also been creating pressure on them regarding this issue, the minister added.

Condemning the media reports on traffic congestion as false the minister said that they are not presenting the real situation.

Traffic jam has been lessened, he stressed.

The minister further said that he welcomes criticism.

I will continue my work for the betterment of the nation in my own way, ignoring the criticism, he added.
