SAVAR (DHAKA): At least 20 people were injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch in C&B area at Savar, outskirt of capital Dhaka on Friday afternoon.

Witnesses said that a Dhaka-bound bus plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering while overtaking another bus in the area around 4:45pm, leaving at least 20 people injured.

The injured were rushed to local hospitals. Police with the help of locals rescued the bus from the ditch.

Traffic Inspector (TI) of Dhaka Traffic Police Farhad Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
