FROM KAMLAPUR: The Eid special train service has started its journey from Kamalapur rail station on Saturday morning ease the transportation suffering for home-going people before the Eid-ul-Fitr.

Kamalapur Railway Station Master Sakhawat Hossain said that Dewanganj special service started at 8:45am and Khulna special service is set to start at 11:25am and Parbatipur special service is likely start at 5:20pm and this service will continue for seven days.

Earlier, Railway authority announced to run three special trains from Dhaka to Parbatipur, Dewanganj and Khulna routes from Saturday on occasion of Eid.

According to the announcement of railway authority, some 166 additional coaches and locomotives will be added during Eid. 

Kamalapur Station Manager Khairul Bashar said that rail authority took various measures to make the train service safe and comfortable for passengers.

The advance sale of train tickets started from July 20 and continued till July 24.
