DHAKA: Communications Minister Obaidul Quader on Saturday categorically said this year’s Eid journey of the home-bound people remain more comfortable than the previous years. 

“I could not ensure the comfort of home-bound people during Eid in past four years. There were many problems in roads but this year the highways are much better,” he said.

The minister came up with the assertion while talking to journalists after visiting Sayedabad Bus Terminal on Saturday morning around 11:00am.

Obaidul Quader also said that there were many pressures on roads in last three days but now the roads became free of traffic congestion till the period as per news from various sources including monitoring cells of communication ministry and highway police.

Communication ministry is also taking preparations for upcoming Eid-ul-Azha to make the journey hazard free, he added.
