COX’S BAZAR: Two people were killed and eight others injured as a microbus turned turtle in Malumghat rea under Chakoria Upazila of the district on Sunday noon.

The deceased were identified as Shahjahan, 30, son of Jafar Alam, and Pushpo Paul, 60. 

Sources said that a Chakaria-bound microbus from Cox’ Bazar tumbled upside down on highway in the area around 12:00pm as the driver lost control over the steering, leaving two dead on the spot and injured eight others.

Confirming the matter, Chakatia Malumghat Highway Police outpost In-charge Shafiul Azam told banglanews, “The injured were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital and Malumghat Christian Memorial Hospital.”
