BHOLA: Three children drowned in two villages of Chandpur Union Parishad under Tojumiddin Upazila of Bhola district on Tuesday, the day of holy Eod-Ul-Fitr.

The deceased were identified as Tania, 3, daughter of Johir of Darichandpur village, Shakil, 5, daughter of Alauddin, and Zisan, son of Abbas of Panchayet Kandi village.

At Darichandpur, Tania was playing on the yard, at one stage she went missing; later family members recover the floating body from the adjacent pond.

At Panchayet Kandi, Shakil and Zisan, they were cousins to each other, were playing beside a pond of mosque, adjacent to their house; at one stage, they fell down in the pond and drowned

Later, locals recovered bodies after they were found floating on the pond.
