DHAKA: At least seven people were killed and 49 others injured in separate road accidents in Sylhet, Thakurgaon and Comilla districts on Wednesday.

In Sylhet, four people including a woman and a child were killed and 25 others injured when a passenger bus turned turtle on Sylhet highway in Otilbari area of the district at 4:45am on the day.
Details of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The injured were admitted at Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital. Of them several are in critical condition.
South Surma Thana Officer-In-Charge (OC) of Sylhet Metropolitan City Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
In Thakurgaon, two people were killed and 20 others injured in a collision between a passenger bus and pick-up van in Comillahati area of Sadar upazila of the district at 5:00am on the day.
Details of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Sadar Thana OC SM Mehedi Hasan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
In Sirajganj, three people were killed and 5 others injured in separate road crashes in Sadar and Ullahpar upazilas on the day.
Bangabandhu Bridge West Thana OC ATM Aminul Islam and Ullahparwa Thana OC Tazul Huda separately confirmed the matters to banglanews.
In Nagaon, a woman was killed and three others injured when a bhotvoti – locally made human hauler – turned turtle in Sathati area of Manda Upazila on the noon.
The injured were admitted at the Upazila Health Complex.
District Superintendent of Police Kayumuzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
In Barisal, two people succumbed to their injuries at e Sher-e-Bangla Medical College hospital on the day.
Hospital ward master Abul Kalam confirmed the matters to banglanews.
Of the deceased, one was injured in a road crush in Kortarhar areas of Charfashion upazila of Bhola district while another sustained injuries in a road accident at Agailjhara upazila in Barisal.
