LALMONIRHAT: A man was crushed under the wheel of train near Teesta Railway Station in Sadar upazila of the district on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Sirazul Islam, 55, of Teesta Tokdarpara of the upazila.

Assistant station master of Teesta Station Nur Islam told banglanews that the man was crushed under Parbartipur-bound Sixty One (commuter) train, coming from Lalmonirhat, while crossing rail line near the out signal area right after the train left the station.

District Railway Police Sub-Inspector Abu Sahin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
