DHAKA: Wadi Al-Baida, also called Wadi Al-Jinn, is a mysterious valley where cars move upward in the mountainous roads, without any need to push the accelerator. The car would also move though the driver switches off the engine.
The mountains in the surrounding area have magnetic qualities, which attract cars. Any iron object with wheels will move on its own.
The valley is situated some 30 km northwest of Saudi Arabian city of Madinah.
The mountain first comes in the forefront when Saudi government began a road constriction in the area in 2009.
One day, the construction workers all of sudden experienced that the iron-made tools, machineries and heavy vehicles were moving upwards slowly. The workers stopped working, searched the area and found a big size black hill there.
The roads remain open from 8:00am to 4:00pm local time daily. None is allowed to enter or travel in rest of the day.
Saudi Arabia English-language daily Arab News, on June 10, 2013, reports, “Geological experts point out that this phenomenon, known as reverse gravity, is also evident in other regions in the Kingdom, including the southern regions of Asir and Najran.”
