DHAKA: Retired Supreme Court Justice Mamtaj Uddin Ahmed has been made the new Press Council chairman.
A circular, issued by Ministry of public administration on Monday afternoon said that the government appointed him for next three years on condition of leaving all other works and institutions.
Earlier, advisor of the first caretaker government and former justice BK Das was appointed for this post on November 9, 2010.
He passed away on June 12 this year.
