Taslima refuses joining Bigg Boss

KOLKATA: Taslima Nasreen, self-exiled Bangladeshi novelist who has now been staying in Delhi, was invited to join Bigg Boss, a popular Indian television show but she refused the offer.

The writer on Sunday tweeted that she had declined the offer politely first — and then impolitely.

The request came from Indian television channel Colours, for the episode of Bigg Boss Season 8.

“Colors TV called. Wants me in Bigg Boss? I politely refused. Said, 'u’ll get chance 2 show urslf 2 world & u'll get money'. Then I impolitely refused, (sic)’ Taslima Nasreen tweeted.”

The India government last week provided Taslima a two month tourist visa. Her current visa is dated to be expired on August 17.

This had left Taslima panicky and as a knee jerk response she met India home minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday.

Taslima was given permanent visa after she met the home minister of India.
