JESSORE: Two people were killed and three others injured in a road accident in Sarupdah area under Sharsha upazila of the district on Monday noon.

The deceased were identified as Abdur Rahman, 60 and Tofazzal Sardar, 57.

Sources said shallow engine-run vehicles, locally known as Nasiman, turned turtle in the area, leaving one dead on the spot and injured four others. 

Later, the injured were rushed to Sharsha upazila where another one died under treatment. 

Officer-in-Charge of Sharsha Thana Ahmed Kabir confirmed the matter to banglanews.
