MANIKGANJ: At least three people were killed and 35 others injured as a passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Nabagram under Shibalaya upazila of the district on Monday. 

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Barongail Highway Police Outpost In-charge Sub-Inspector Nazmul Ahsan told banglanews that the accident took place around 5:00 pm. 

Later, fire fighters recovered three bodies from the bus around 8:15pm.
