DHAKA: The agitating workers of Tuba Group threatened the authorities concerned of enforcing hartal if their wages and bonuses are not paid by Wednesday.

Leader of Tuba Group Shramik Sangram Committee Masud Karim Pathik made the forewarning while addressing besiege program of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) building in city on Tuesday.

He also alleged that the owners are depriving the workers.

The worker leader further said they would take wages from their factories not from BGMEA.

Earlier in the day, law enforcers charged batons on the workers when they tried to besiege BGMEA and staged their prescheduled demonstration demanding of their due wages and bonuses.
