DHAKA: South Africa wanted to recruit more skilled manpower from Bangladesh, said Geoffrey Quinton Mitchell Doidge, South Africa’s Residential Representative to Bangladesh, attached with South Africa’s Sri Lanka embassy. 

He expressed this interest in a meeting with Industries minster Amir Hossain Amu at his ministry on Thursday.

However, Geoffrey said they are looking for more skilled manpower from Bangladesh as Bangladesh expatriates, who are now working in South Africa, are intelligent and skilled.   

The minister sought cooperation from the envoy to expand export of readymade garments of Bangladesh in African region.
