DHAKA: Narayanganj-4 constituency lawmaker Shamin Osman has been quizzed by the probe committee of Public Administration Ministry on Tuesday over the sensational seven-murder case.
The interrogation started at the room of convener of the committee, also additional secretary of the ministry, Shahjahan Ali Molla in the secretariat around 11:30am.
On Monday, the committee also Narayanganj City Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy on the seven-murder case.
Meantime, the probe committee interrogated 350 people including top officials of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab). The final investigation report was scheduled to file on September 9.
The committee has been also thinking to interrogate main accused of the case Nur Hossain who is in prison of India.
The clash between MP Shamim Osman and Mayor Ivy came in light after the seven-murder incident. They also blamed each other for the murder.
On May 7, the higher administrative investigation team was formed as per the order of the court.
Earlier, Narayanganj City Corporation ward councilor Nazrul Islam and senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker along with five others were abducted on April 27.
Their bodies were recovered from the Shitalakkhya River after three days.
Nur Hossain, the prime accused of this incident and his aides Obaidur Rahman and Sumon Khan, whom were arrested from near of the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport of Kolkata are now in Indian police custody.
However, police held about 30 persons and seized a micro bus in this connection.
