SUNAMGANJ: The district court on Tuesday awarded life sentence to five people for their involvement in Tajul murder case in Sunamganj.

The court also fined Tk 30,000 each. On default, the convicted have to serve one year jail term more.

Justice Kazi Abdul Hannan of Additional Session Judge Court passed the order at around 11:45am on Tuesday.

The convicts are Osman Ali, Zilani, Ali Ahmed, Ali Amzad and Ruhul Amin.

Among them, Zilani is fugitive.
