NOAKHALI: Twin sisters drowned in a pond at Sudharam Nagar Thana of the district on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Saba, 5 and Munia, 5, daughters of Police Constable M Zakaria, hailed from Comilla district.

Police sources said the two siblings went missing in the afternoon.

After a frantic search, their family members found the floating bodies in a pond adjacent to their house.

Officer-in-Charge of Sudharam Thana Mosharaf Hossain Tarafder confirmed the matter to banglanews.
