DHAKA: Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number three, said a warning message issued by Met office.

Due to strong monsoon deep convection is taking place over North Bay. 

Squally weather may affect North Bay, adjoining coastal area of Bangladesh and the maritime ports, it added.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.

Besides, the met office asked the regions of Dhaka, Faridpur,  Rajshahi,  Pabna, Bogra khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s bazar and Sylhet wherein river ports to hoist riverine warning signal number two.
