JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY: A 35-year-old unidentified woman was killed and 15 others were injured in a road accident in front of Joy Bangla Gate of Jahangirnagar University on Friday noon.

Sources said that a Manikganj-bound bus overturned after hitting a roadside tree as the driver lost control over the steering in the area around 2:30pm, leaving the woman dead on the spot and 15 others injured.

Ashulia police said that locals rushed the injured to several clinics of Savar. Among them the helper of the bus has been transferred to the Enam Medical Centre as his condition was deteriorated.

Officer-in-Chrage Sheikh Badrul Alam of Ashulia Thana confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The woman’s body and the bus were kept in the Thana.
