RIYAD: A Bangladeshi national was killed in a road accident in Rafa area, some 800km far from Riyadh, capital of Saudi Arabia, on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Md Abul Kalam, chief steward of Saudi Arabia’s Hotel Intercontinental, hailed from Akhtarail village under Nagarpur upazila of Tangail district.

Victim’s relative Firoj Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The accident took place while Kalam was returning from a program host by Saudi Arabia’s home minister, Firoj added. 

Locals took Kalam to the local Army Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, he added.
