Bangabandhu’s writing in textbooks

DHAKA: Writing of Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been included in Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) curriculum.

From now, the HSC students will get the opportunity to read some writings Bangabandhu from his ‘Incomplete Autobiography’.

Besides, an essay of prominent writer Professor Dr Muhammad Jafar Iqbal has also been included in the syllabus of National Curriculum Text Book (NCTB)-2014-15.

Appreciating the writings of ‘Incomplete Autobiography’, Dr Jafar Iqbal said that everyone should read it.

NCTB chairman Abul Kashem told banglanews, “By reading the writings of Bangabandhu, new generations will be inspired to be a real patriot.”

NCTB in its synopsis of Bangla 1st paper said that there are 30 essays and 30 poems in the HSC text books now. And 4 of them will be changed in every 2 or 3 years.
